VAVE coordination
Follows the Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE) processes and methods utilizing the tools provided
Conducts and supports VAVE workshops and other activities to generate potential VAVE ideas
Prepares VAVE cost calculation and quotation
Prepares internal and external communication to support ideas
Systematically monitors and drives VAVE idea implementation
Attends trial builds at customer development sites and production locations to support idea validation
Coordinates drawing implementation of VAVE idea with Design & Development team and CPM support
Monitors LEONI production plant idea implementation
• Provides technical knowledge and guidance to associate design engineers
• Manages Best Cost Country engineering activities
• Is responsible for the coordination of the overall product design
• Ensures regular communication with customer engineers
• Directs several of the following design elements:
2-D / 3-D Harness / component routing
Design Release Engineering
Evaluation of customer systems
Change Management
Coordinates and participates in technical events internally and externally
• Participate in process development and documentation
• Assure design manufacturability
• Support technical sales and business pursuit activities
• Supports integration of innovation into customer products
Directs the Design & Development (D&D) activities to fulfill internal and external customer requirement
• 1st contact between Engineering and Production (vice versa) in relation to engineering and design issues.
• Ability to solve issues independently, quick, face to face.
• Training of Engineering and customer change management workflow and other process actions in plants.
• Support future shifting activities from Engineering (D&D) to production plants (Best costs vs. high cost).
• Documentation and tracking of production issues in relation to Engineering, with the target to evaluate and improve definition of design for manufacture rules under consideration of given customer specification.
• Support gap closing management in any case of urgent issues.
• Support implementation of new projects (C1XX in Merida, MEXICO)
• Supervise allocated design engineering personnel (C1XX in Merida, MEXICO)
• People Management of the area of responsibility (resource allocation, evaluation, leadership, monitoring) (C1XX in Merida, MEXICO)
• Coordinates activities across departments and monitors results in order to achieve the defined objectives (C1XX in Merida, MEXICO)
• Continuously empowers and motivates the team by showing attention for good performance (C1XX in Merida, MEXICO)
