Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) - Doctors Without Borders is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. We offer assistance to people based on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
We are looking for an Advocacy Manager Support to start immediately in Kyiv.
Main Purpose:
Providing support to the advocacy manager in the management of humanitarian affairs activities in the mission, contributing to the analysis of the context and the humanitarian situation, support creation and management of mapping of the humanitarian response, and contribute to MSF advocacy plans and activities.
Main Duties:
- Monitoring, analysis and researches concerning security, medical and humanitarian issues, at a country level and/or on specific locations and/or specific identified topics to support MSF understanding of humanitarian situation and provide reliable information for MSF operations and advocacy.
- Support MSF projects on data collection on humanitarian situation, and provide support in the analysis of the data to support operation and mission advocacy. Collaborate with advocacy manager and project to identify additional need for documentation to support MSF advocacy.
- Contribute in creating and managing mapping of humanitarian response actors, civil society organizations and other key stakeholders and contribute to engagement in order to understand operational plan and/or advocacy, and MSF potential collaboration.
- Contribute and support the advocacy manager in building and conduction MSF country advocacy, advocacy plans and strategies.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor Political Science, International Relations, Law, Humanitarian affairs, Human Rights, Journalism.
Desirable experience NGOs and/or government and/or activism and/or think tank.
Fluency in English language is a requirement for the position.
Expected gross salary is 31,000 – 32,000 UAH per month.
