Mirantis delivers hybrid cloud platforms to top enterprises using Mirantis Cloud Platform and Docker Enterprise (part of Mirantis since Nov 2019) based on open source technologies. Company products are based on industry leading open-source projects including: OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker engine, Prometheus and many others and follows a build-operate-transfer model. These solutions empower enterprise customers to take advantage of open source innovation with no vendor lock-in.
We are inviting smart and enthusiastic interns willing to learn cloud computing based on open source projects and grow to Junior DevOps engineer and further.
Requirements:
- Basic skills with programming, knowledge of algorithms and data structures
- Good knowledge of Linux distributions: architecture, tools, packaging system
- Understanding of computer networking, knowledge of network protocols
- Basic understanding of virtualization and containers
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proactive attitude
- Fast learning abilities
- Proven track record of success: excellent academic record, publications, contests, own projects, online courses, freelance activities etc
- Good written and spoken English (Intermediate)
Will be a plus:
- experience with public cloud providers: OpenStack based, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure
- understanding of HA principles and implementation on different levels: API, DB, Network, Storage
- knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK, Zabbix and etc)
