International company is a diversified manufacturer of engineered industrial products, specializing in niche applications for banknote validation, storage and recycling devices for use in gaming, amusement, vending, retail and transportation with products and specialized technology offered to a customer base in over hundred countries around the globe. Who will be part of the Currency Tools group working to provide engineered solutions and analysis to the global sales and marketing teams and their customers. Principal Accountabilities: The jobholder will be part of the Currency Tools group within a multi-sites team. The position is based at Kiev. The jobholder will be involved in designing and implementing new generations of development tools to facilitate the use of next generation algorithms and sensors by the currency technicians. • Design and implementation of new concepts/methods to be included in the currency development tools • Investigation and follow-up reports of any problems concerning the acceptance of the notes into the acceptors All software development projects are developed following agile methodology (scrum, user story mapping, automatic testing) and agile tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence…) and monitored under a continuous integration platform (Jenkins, SonarQube, …). Software architectures of the projects are designed using an UML modeler. Qualifications & Required profile • Master's degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience in software. • Algorithm skills: • Ability to understand, translate and optimize an algorithm provided by data scientists • Knowledge of parallel programming • The knowledge of a scientific language such as Matlab, Python, R, … is an asset. • The knowledge of machine learning algorithms is an asset. • Understanding of linear algebra and statistics • • Skills in following computing concepts / technologies: • Proficiency in C# (especially LINQ). C++/C or Java is an asset • ASP .NET Web API, Entity Framework or similar frameworks • Automatic code testing, good TDD practices is an asset • Code quality • Strong object-oriented software development skills: design patterns, SOLID principles, layered and stateless architecture. Knowledge of an UML modeler is an asset. • Experience in functional programming • Dependency injection • Knowledge of Web technologies is an asset Working Conditions • Clean, modern, well-lighted and comfortable office area • Basic workweek is forty hours • Special trainings and English courses available in office • Work with the latest technologies and tools • Salary based on interviews
