Must Have:
— Advanced Python 2, 3
— HTTP protocol knowledge
— Python Concurrency
— PostgreSQL, MySQL
— Crawlers and web scraping experience
— Advanced English
Qualifications & Skills:
— Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, previous _startup_ experience would be a plus
— Data security and breach protection way of thinking
— Strong background in developing complex enterprise-class software running on server platforms
— Strong ownership, passion, and a love for solving problems
Will be a plus:
— XML / HTML / XSD / XSLT / XPath / XQuery
— Javascript
— Headless browsers (QWebView, PhantomJS, etc)
— Web services
— Messaging queues (RabbitMQ, etc)
— Application monitoring and metric gathering
— Docker (Mesos/Marathon)

Responsibilities:
— Develop and support innovative scraping engine backend
— Add new and support existing data sources for scraping
— Be an expert in bypassing scraping protection techniques
— Participate in design and development of data extraction services
— Be responsible for platform uptime and data accuracy
— Write data manipulation scripts in a half-dozen of different languages
— Make a difference by participating in counteracting cybercrime
About a project:
We are building an actor-focused cyber threat intelligence SaaS product. From the customer perspective, it’s an online portal and API that allows them to consume, query, analyse and visualize multiple sources of cyber threat intelligence information.
From the technology perspective, the solution involves:
— Web scraping
— SQL / NoSQL technologies
— Middleware and monitoring services
— Rich web application
— AWS cloud
