THE PROJECT
This a long-term project focused on building a B2B checkout platform to power the growth of online business among SMEs. The company is out to redefine how businesses make payments online. The vision is to create a brand-new online purchasing experience, one in which buyers enjoy a self-service checkout experience with relevant B2B payment options, and terms; while all back-office payment operations are eliminated so merchants can focus on growing their business, not getting paid. The platform is API-driven and seamlessly integrates into digital sales channels, such as online B2B marketplaces, platforms, and e-commerce stores.
The team consists of the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and React Developer. Also, we will provide offline meetings and team buildings in Ukraine/Netherlands to support your close collaboration. The project (new module for existing platform) is a minimum of 2 years. The development starts from scratch.
YOUR PROFILE
As a Senior Python developer, you would be able to take over the following tasks:
- Writing effective, scalable code
- Developing back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
- Integrating user-facing elements into the application
- API integration
Ultimately, you will be responsible for the highly responsive platform module and drive its implementation further on. Your commitment to team collaboration, seamless communication, and product quality is crucial!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Building an efficient server-side platform
- Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
- Writing effective, scalable code
- Integrate user-facing elements into the platform
- Test and debug programs
- Improve functionality of existing systems
- Implement security and data protection solutions
- Integrating user-facing elements into the application
- API integration
- Assess feature requests
- Coordinate with Product Owner to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
REQUIRED
- You have at least 5+ years of software development building complex web-based software products
- Proven work experience as a Python Developer (at least 3−4 years)
- Solid expertise in Django framework (Flask is also possible)
- Experience with AWS (EC2 in particular) services are a plus
- Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript (React) and HTML5)
- Experience in mentoring junior team members is a plus
- Team spirit
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Accuracy and attention to details
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Good communication skills in English
