Java Developer (Work abroad in the Philippines)

AAS IT Services is looking for a Java Developer from Ukraine to join our branch in the Philippines. Our software systems provide customers with Enterprise Risk Management Systems for multiple sectors including banking, energy and corporate clients. We are a US based company offering good wages and benefits and above all providing great learning and advancement opportunities.
Our developers are responsible for building Java applications. This includes anything between complex groups of server-side back-end services and the client-side (desktop and mobile) counterparts. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software
- Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specification documents, user guides, and functional specification documents;
- Complete tasks assigned by the team leader;
- Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and / or integration of new products based on client requirements
- Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
- Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
- Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
- Quality assurance, testing, trouble-shooting
Skills:
- Excellent application system design and development skills
- Strong programming skills and experience developing web-based application using: Java / J2EE, Linux, Web Services, EJB, Servlet, JSP and DB2, SQL
- Strong knowledge of J2EE architecture / design patterns, Object Oriented Design methodologies, SOA and data modeling techniques
- Strong experience designing / developing with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer)
- Solid knowledge of OOP software concepts, design patterns, and best practices
- Strong SQL experience of writing complex queries and developing views
- Experience writing custom Java code to interact with an LDAP server
- Experience with Web Services security. Experience with Java & Oracle Enterprise security layers
- Additional knowledge in web technology servers is very welcomed: Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, and various DB Servers
- Client side technology is an additional skill we are after: XML, Ajax, Java Script, DOM, CSS, OOD / OOP
- Self-motivated and passionate about new technologies
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written); Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications / Required Education:
- At least 1 year experience within enterprise software development or multi-tier web programming
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- English: upper-intermediate, both oral and written
