As a Software Developer, you will work within local and innovation projects and sector leader clients. We expect you to be highly motivated to do your job brilliantly and have near-perfect software design, coding and general software development lifecycle skills.

Responsibilities:

Design, Build, and Improve web software systems with PHP

Create and use shared libraries.

Develop, test, optimize, improve and deploy web sites by consuming web services data sources and MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.

Follow the software development lifecycle and software development practices of the company

Rich software development cycle including distributed version control, automated build and automated code analysis systems and code reviews

Desired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant degree, Master is a plus

3+ years experience on PHP as a software developer

Able to use web services as data sources on a web site

Familiar with different kinds of PHP frameworks as (CodeIgniter, Symphony, Laravel, Zend, etc.)

MySQl and PostgreSQL competency on web development

Experince with GIT source control management

Able to implement caching structures on high traffic web sites.

Ability to implement security principles defined by OWASP

Good understanding of object-oriented programming, experience on design patterns

Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project

Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing and source control

Focus on peer mentoring, code reviews, architectural consultancy and team-work

Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum

Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management
