Responsibilities:

Design stable, reliable and effective, high-volume, low-latency database for real time systems and delivering high-availability and performance.
Modify, optimize and maintain databases according to requests and perform tests.
Solve database usage issues and malfunctions.
Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices.
Develop technical and training manuals.
Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements.
Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols.
Work with other developers to develop integrated solution.
Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support).
Evaluate new tools and technologies.
Gather and manage specific requirements and suggest solutions.
Document solutions as well as maintaining the existing ones.

Skills:

Proven work experience as a Database developer.
In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring).
Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications.
Hands on experience with SQL.
Familiarity working with .Net Framework, JavaScript and HTML.
Excellent analytical and organization skills.
An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Software development background.
Experience working with open-source projects.
Experience working with large codebases.
Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
Experience in the Spring Framework
Experience with test-driven development
Ability to perform in a team environment.
understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Familiarity with continuous integration.
Knowledge in mobile application development is an advantage.
