Position: Millwright / Mechanical (industrial)

ROLE :
- Work in a team to ensure preventive and curative maintenance of production equipment.
- Participate in the improvement of equipment in place and the implementation of new equipment.
- Provide support to production teams.
- You need to be safety-conscious, energetic, and able to understand your role in our team.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Education: College diploma in a specialized field.
- Experience: Sawmill experience is an asset
- Language: Bilingualism is an asset (French and English)
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Promote and provide a safe workplace, seek improvements, and support the Health & Safety program.
- Maintain communications program to keep employees informed.
- Support compliance with collective agreements and sound union / management / employee relations.
- Report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
SETTING & LIFESTYLE :
GreenFirst's Chapleau sawmill, with 150 employees, produces softwood lumber as well as wood chips. Chapleau, with a population of 1,900, appeals to outdoor enthusiasts, and is known for boating and fishing among other activities.
