Private tutoring in mathematics and physics for school and university undergraduate level students.

PhD Researcher
University of Sheffield (Science, Research, Education), Sheffield, UK
10.2014 − 09.2017 (2 года 11 месяцев)

Using different optical, optomechanical, polarization, fiber and laser components, assembled and upgraded various optical set-ups necessary for photoluminescence (PL), photoluminescence excitation (PLE) and reflectance contrast (RC) measurements. Collected spectral data with a 0.5 m optical spectrometer (Princeton Instruments SP-2-500i). Conducted low-temperature experiments (down to ~5 K) during which sample cooling down were realized by means of circulation of liquid helium across a cryostat (Janis ST-500, Oxford Instruments Microstat HiRes2) containing the measured sample. Also investigated PL signal of the samples by applying external electric field and gate voltage. Was actively involved in research projects of my supervisor, analysed experimental data, calculated theoretical parameters. The obtained results were published in famous scientific journals (Physical Review B, Nano Letters). Presented posters and talks in national and international conferences including Graphene Week 2016.

Design Engineer
Microoptics (Design Engineering Bureau) (Engineering), Feodosiia, Kyiv, Ukraine
06.2013 − 07.2013

Went as a business trip (7 days) to Lytkarino Optical Glass Factory (LZOS, Lytkarino, Moscow Region, Russian Federation). During this trip, drafted the mechanical details of medical digital thermostatic shaker, which was supposed to be a Russian model of the PST plate shaker-thermostat from Latvian-English company Biosan. Then in Kyiv, helped designers to model those details and made the design engineering documentation.

Личные качества, хобби, увлечения, навыки: PhD Project title: "Optical properties of transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers, heterostructures and alloys". Supervisor: Prof A. I. Tartakovskii. Studied optical and optoelectronic properties of semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) monolayers, its alloys and van der Waals heterostructures by photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy and optical reflectance contrast measurements at room and low temperatures (~ 5-6 K) using liquid helium continuous flow cryostat systems (Janis ST-500, Oxford Instruments Microstat HiRes2). In particular, investigated exciton-electron and exciton-trion interactions in single-layer TMDCs, optoelectronic properties of spatially indirect (interlayer) excitons in TMDC-based heterostructures, as well as band structure modification of MoxW1-xS2 due to alloying. Had clean-room training in sample fabrication processes (micromechanical exfoliation, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) growth). Master's degree (diploma with honors) GPA: 4.79 out of 5 Project title: "Electron energy loss spectroscopy of nanoscale surface layer of amorphous alloys based on Fe". Supervisor: Prof M. A. Vasylyev. Studied the surface of ferromagnetic amorphous alloy Fe73.6Cu1Nb2.4Si15.8B7, especially elementary excitations in the spectra of low-energy secondary-electron emission from the surface of the alloy using electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and established that ultrasonic percussion treatment of the alloy surface reduces the energy of bulk plasmons. Bachelor's degree GPA: 4.53 out of 5 Project title: "Atomic design and surface properties of InSe single crystals". Supervisor: Prof V. L. Karbivsky. Studied the InSe surface by high-resolution ultrahigh vacuum scanning tunnelling microscopy (UHV-STM) and constant-spacing scanning tunnelling spectroscopy (CS-STS) using ultrahigh vacuum scanning probe microscope JEOL JSPM-4610 (pressure ~ 10-8 Pa, resolutions: XY~0.14 nm, Z~0.01 nm). In particular, investigated the processes of formation of gold nanostructures on the surface of InSe single crystals and demonstrated for the first time that gold self-ordered hexagonal-pyramidal nanostructures of fractal nature were formed on InSe. Research Interests: optoelectronics, surface science, nanoscience and nanotechnology. • Scanning tunnelling microscopy and atomic force microscopy of layered van der Waals crystals. • Electron energy loss spectroscopy of nanoscale surface layers of ferromagnetic amorphous alloys. • Understanding the processes of self-organization and growth mechanisms of nanoobjects on atomically clean semiconductor surfaces and their use for device applications, nanoelectronics, optoelectronics and synthesis of zero-, one- and two-dimensional nanostructures. • Understanding segregation processes on the surface and in the subsurface layers of ferromagnetic amorphous alloys, changes in their electronic structure and further improvement of the technology for production of amorphous metallic materials and its practical use in industry. • Photoluminescence spectroscopy and optical reflectance contrast measurements of atomic-scale thin films, van der Waals heterostructures. • Understanding the processes of many-body interactions between particles inside atomic-scale thin films for their use for device applications and optoelectronics (band gap engineering). Honors and awards • University of Sheffield Scholarship (2014 - 2017) Won the University scholarship to undertake doctoral research in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. • Scholarship of the Kyiv Department of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (2007 - 2013) Passed entrance exams and tests with excellent marks, made perfect reports on the scientific research. • Russian State Scholarship (2007 - 2011) For consistently excellent marks during my studies at MIPT. • Winner of the Regional School Math Olympiad (January 2007) The 11th grade of my studies at school.
