We are looking for a talented Systems Administrator-Support Engineer who will perform a key role as escalation point for technical queries; as well as maintenance of our system infrastructure and regular upgrade of production deployments.
Functions:
· Manage and monitor all installed servers, applications and databases.
· Manage escalated customer problems working closely with 1st level support.
· Regular maintenance and upgrade of the server environment.
· Monitoring of performance and optimization. Creation of alerts.
· Management of streaming environments, server based and cloud based.
· Management of Systems in all work centers from the company.
· install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
· troubleshoot system and network problems
· Documentation for support and customers.
Requirements:
· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
· High knowledge in Debian based Linux Systems (e.g Ubuntu Servers): User management, file/directory
· permissions, update/upgrade packages/distributions and server related software.
· MySQL (Master/slave replication, backups).
· Nginx.
· Understanding of Virtualised Environments (Oracle Virtual Box) and Virtual Private Networks.
· Essential fluent English written and spoken.
· Highly organized and able to work on own initiative to complete the range of tasks required.
· Strong Problem-solving skills.
· Flexibility to work outside core business hours as required.
· Flexibility to work from all working centers of the company.
· Availability for emergencies.
· Valuable:
· Experience in AWS, VMWare, and CDNs Cloud environments is an advantage.
· Tomcat.
