IT Consultant

Place of work: Dubai - UAE

Obligations of the candidate:

Career Level: Mid Level

Minimum Experience: Over 5 years

Minimum Education Level: Bachelors Degree

English Level: Advanced

Driving License: An Advantage

General Skills: Good Interpersonal Skills

Responsibilities:

Maintenance & management of business applications, Project Management for implementation of new IT initiatives, evaluation of technology and vendor management.

Micros, Fidelio & Navision ERP implementation and support for end user level.

Implementation of new technologies - Ensure support & deployment of new technology/projects in line with the business needs, ensuring smooth operations and high availability of the IT infrastructure with minimum downtime. Manage complete life cycles of the projects (internal & external) in coordination with business users, development team and vendors.

Vendor management - Coordinate with the external vendors for evaluation of their proposals, finalization of the scope and deliverables, their respective service contracts, management of escalations, maintaining and monitoring the SLAs.

Planning and budgeting - Assist the head of Information technology in IT planning & budgeting.

Maintenance of deployed applications - Day-to-day administration of production environment with the help of Operation team members, which includes hardware and software components. Ensure problems are dealt with quickly, identify root cause, and escalate to Management.

New product and technology evaluation - Actively contribute towards evaluating new technologies / products/ vendors as per the requirements.
