We are inviting an experienced Senior Python Developer to join the team of professionals at InStandart.
We are looking for a person for long-term cooperation who has deep knowledge and experience of Python development, likes to develop themselves, and wants to apply their knowledge in interesting projects.
Python flask application using SQL Alchemy as ORM to make requests to our PostGreSQL database. We instrumented the python code with New Relic and can see that the PostgreSQL requests are the bottlenecks. We are experiencing major slowdowns ( 10s for some select/update SQL requests).None of the tables are indexed yet and we would like to discuss with an expert to challenge :
- our database structure
- which tables to index and which key we should use for the indexation
- whether table views are needed to go further to speed things usSkills :- Proven working experience as a Database
Knowledge that will be necessary for your effective work:
4+ years of experience with Python;
5+ years of experience with Flask
3+ years of experience with SQL , ORM ,PostgreSQL
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
English at the intermediate level and higher.
