Chief Operating Officer

Although it was not a C-Level position, I’ve gained a lot of C-Level experience:

• increased my understanding of:
  • management styles
  • influence of traditions and culture on the company
  • psychology and people motivation
  • startups and innovations in companies
• checked up my ideas on the involvement of people into the redesign of their work and on team dynamics
• gained the understanding of how NOT to make business in a big company
• increased personal productivity
• refreshed in mind how top-management decisions and actions look like on lower levels
• etc.

Results. I have done the following:

• built up and implemented team KPIs with support for teamwork
• organized teamwork on long-term projects
• decreased overall waiting time of requests by 200%. This decrease pulled up the overall quality
• decreased people rotation by ~70% with increased morale
• removed ~80% of conflicts with neighbor departments
• built and implemented processes:
  • Quality Assurance
  • self-learning and selection of external/internal candidates to different roles inside the team
• prepared the successor for my position
• proposed and steered the main idea during the redesign of VPS/dedicated server plans. The idea was based on the request types from the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
